2023 FORWARD FUND APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED 

Every year, the Forward Fund awards a pool of over $100,000 in cash as well as sponsor-donated production resources (camera rentals, lighting rentals, and post-production audio and visual services, etc.) to jury-selected recipients in packages that combine cash and services to suit the needs of the project.

Before Brico

Since our very first festival in 2009, Milwaukee Film has given a cash prize to the jury-selected winner from our Cream City Cinema program. The Filmmaker-in-Residence program enabled the winning filmmaker to make a new film using the support, guidance, and resources provided by Milwaukee Film, including a mentorship program, a $5,000 cash prize, and a production-services package valued at more than $20,000.
