Milwaukee Film Invites Audiences To ‘Look for More’ At This Year’s Festival

MILWAUKEE – Tuesday, July 30, 2019 – Milwaukee Film has revealed a dynamic and colorful campaign that invites audiences to “Look for More” at the 2019 Milwaukee Film Festival, presented by Associated Bank.

“Whether our audience sees one film or 100, we want them to let the Milwaukee Film Festival be an immersive experience,” said Karina Henderson, marketing director at Milwaukee Film. “Every movie, every panel, and every party create an opportunity for discovery – about film, about yourself, and about our community.”

“Come to the Festival to be entertained, but don’t leave until you’ve looked for more,” she added.

Henderson noted that the campaign also resonates with Milwaukee Film as an organization, which has grown beyond the annual film festival into a year-round cultural presence in Milwaukee, as operators of the historic Oriental Theatre and as leaders in using film to create community impact.

Milwaukee-based digital artist Whitney Salgado was tapped to bring the campaign theme from a simple concept to a lush visual reality. A graduate of Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Salgado’s colorful style draws inspiration from nature, dreams, and surrealism. Salgado connected with Milwaukee Film by responding to the organization’s open call for artists earlier this year.

The 11th annual Milwaukee Film Festival takes place Oct. 17-31. Ticket packages and festival passes are on sale now at the mkefilm.org/tickets. Prices for passes, 10-packs and 6-packs of vouchers for the festival will increase starting Thursday, Aug. 1.
