LANDSCAPES OF MEMORY follows Jewish-American filmmaker Leah Galant’s journey through Germany as she reckons with family trauma and the weight of historical memory of the Holocaust. Interwoven stories of a Holocaust-survivor descendant, a Nazi-descendant historian, exiled Palestinian artists, and the progression of her father’s ALS, reveal the uses and abuses of remembrance culture in this sensitively-told, deeply personal narrative of conflict, faith, family, and place.
