Description
A virtuous teen in a repressive rural Protestant community in 1943 Switzerland questions her village's morality as they turn away Jewish refugees. After a personal trauma upends her life, she must find the courage to forge her own path against social expectations. Director Marie-Elsa Sgualdo's feature debut explores the consequences of neutrality in the face of oppression, relevent now as much as it was then.
