Join us for a powerful Black History Month experience as Carvd N Stone partners with Milwaukee Film to host a FREE community screening of the documentary, The Black Press: Soldiers Without Swords.

This groundbreaking film explores the historic role of Black-owned newspapers and media outlets, platforms that informed, protected, and empowered African Americans during pivotal moments in our nation’s history.

Following the screening, stay with us for a one-hour talkback featuring leading voices in local Black media and journalism. Together, we’ll reflect on the film and dive into the state of Black media today, our responsibility to our communities, and what it means to continue building platforms that tell our stories with dignity, accuracy, and power. Full Panelists lineup below.
