Take a Seat FAQ
Can I choose my seat location?
For a gift of $2,500, you can sponsor a seat in the Oriental Theatre Main House. For a gift of $1,000, you can sponsor a seat in the East or West Theatres, or the Main House balcony. Please note that you are not able to choose the exact location of your seat.
When will my seat be installed?
We are finalizing plans for our next phases of construction. In 2019, we expect to replace all seats in the West Theatre, with the Main House set for seat replacement in 2020 and the East Theatre in 2021. Plaques will be installed as seats are replaced.
When and how will I be billed?
You can pay by credit card online, with several options for payment terms. If you choose monthly installments, your initial payment will be charged within 48 hours, and subsequent payments will be processed on the 15th of each month. If you would like to pay by check, please contact Dana Reinoos at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes! All seat gifts are 100 percent tax-deductible.
Will my named seat be reserved for me at any screening I attend at the Oriental?
Naming a seat does not reserve that seat for your use. Your generous gift will contribute to the restoration of this historic venue for generations to come.
Tell me about inscriptions! What should I include on my seat inscription?
You are welcome to name the seat for yourself, your family, or to honor or memorialize a friend or loved one - you decide! We will be in touch with you in advance of the seat installation to confirm your inscription. Milwaukee Film reserves the right to reject any inscription text.
How long can my seat inscription be?
Seat inscriptions can be up to two lines of 15 characters (including spaces) each.
How long will my plaque be on the seat?
Plaques will remain on the seats for the lifetime of the actual seat.
How can I make a major gift or add my name to other areas of the theater?
Please contact our Development Director Jessica Bursi at email@example.com.
