What's your name?

Gini Connell

What's your job title at Milwaukee Film? What does that entail?

What's your favorite place to sit in a movie theater?

I am forever a middle center theatre goer!

What's your favorite theater snack?

Controversial pick but I like bringing a box of Dots to see movies.

What's the first film you remember seeing in theaters?

I first movie I remember seeing was Hugo when I was a kid and accidentally learning some film history 101 from it.

Do you have a most memorable theatergoing experience? (Bonus points for ones involving the OT!)

I remember making a trek away from my hometown to see Alien for the first time on 35mm when I was in high school. To this day it remains one of my favorites.

What movie did you pick?

When did you first see said movie?

I first watched Clue with my little brother at the height of COVID and we rewatched it over and over again. It became my favorite comfort movie and never fails to make me feel good and laugh.

In ten words or less, tell us why we HAVE to see this movie!

A brilliantly campy, iconic cult classic that you'll quote forever!

Okay - expand on that - why did you make this your staff pick?

I chose Clue for my staff pick because it is truly my favorite movie to watch with others. It's funny, ridiculously campy, but remains whip smart the entire time. Every time I watch it (and I've seen it a lot) I notice something new that makes me laugh.

Any parting words you'd like to impart?

I am so excited to have this movie shown on 35mm!
