Milwaukee Film is excited to share the news that we have officially launched a nationwide search for the next great executive director of our organization. The Executive Director will replace Anne Reed, who selflessly came out of retirement to serve as our interim executive director and whose impactful leadership helped stabilize the organization at a critical time in our organization’s growth and development. Anne will remain in her role and assist with the transition to new leadership, once a hire is made.
Milwaukee Film is what is today because of our community’s ongoing support and commitment to the importance of arts in our city. With that in mind, we trust that many of you may know of someone who’d be our next leader and encourage you to review the job description and share it with anyone who fits the bill. Questions concerning the role or search can be directed to Leading Transitions, LLC who is facilitating the search with a search committee made up of Milwaukee Film Board members.
While we are energized by the prospect of a new leader and future vision, please know it is business as usual here at headquarters and, as you can imagine, the team is already “heads-down” and deep in preparations for the 2025 Milwaukee Film Festival (April 24-May 8) as well as continuing to present great cinema every damn day at the historic Oriental and Downer Theatres for our beloved members, patrons, and friends.
From all of us at Milwaukee Film, thank you and see you at the movies!
