The 10th Annual Milwaukee Film Festival was huge. How huge? This year we surpassed the 5,000 member mark (a 31% increase since the end of MFF2017!), and you know what that means - there is currently a Milwaukee Film member who doesn't realize that they are currently betrothed to Kristopher! This year also was the inaugural edition of our Women In Film award (presented by Live Wire Productions, awarding $2,500 to the top rated feature length picture directed by a woman), and it just so happens that our opening night film, Science Fair, won both that AND our Allan H. (Bud) and Suzanne L. Selig Audience Award.
We're very excited to announce that Science Fair will be playing throughout the next week as part of the Oriental Theatre’s Best of Fest program, featuring several hit films from the 2018 Milwaukee Film Festival, including our Super Secret Member Screening Free Solo!
Bonus note - Free Solo opened last weekend to the best opening of any film since Milwaukee Film took over the Oriental Theatre, and one of the best box office openings of any film in the last decade at the Oriental Theatre! See the movie everybody's talking about.
