Inspiring Kids with Film

Here at Milwaukee Film, we believe the children are our future. Through a variety of initiatives—including our wildly popular Education Screenings—our Youth Education programs work to improve students' media literacy and provide school-age youth with an opportunity to participate in the film festival experience. Those efforts have included:

  • Education Screenings, in which students attend a Milwaukee Film Festival screening and participate in activities or discussions related to the film
  • Reel Talks, where industry professionals visit your classroom and engage students in conversations about the power of film or filmmaking as a career
  • High School Filmmaking Course/Teen Screen Programming Committee, an opportunity for teenagers interested in making or viewing films to learn more courtesy of Milwaukee Film

In an effort to help families attempting to continue to provide educational experiences while staying Safer at Home, we will be sharing curriculae pulling from previous education screenings to turn your next family movie night into an educational experience!
