Workshops FAQs

Who is 'invited'?

You are! Educator Workshops are free and open to the public. Our workshops are a fantastic place for community members interested in media literacy and film-based curricula to network and learn new strategies, both from our presenters and one another!

What kinds of subjects do the workshops cover?

Our workshops have a focus on providing students with tools to improve their media literacy. Past workshops have included "Expanding Our Definition of Literacy: Using Images and Films as Mentor Texts" with Aliza Werner (May 2018) and Heather Hanson & Joe Duellman on connecting film to common core standards and advocating for film study in the classroom (July 2016).

Where can I hear about Educator Workshops when they're announced?

We announce our workshops through our Educator Newsletter. It's always filled to the brim with useful information!
