The Death of My Two Fathers

CCF2021

For twenty years, filmmaker Sol Guy couldn’t bring himself to watch the VHS recordings his father made of himself toward the end of his battle with kidney cancer. Through confronting these videos, Guy explores his own family history in the form of a message to his children, ultimately unpacking new understandings of Blackness, biracial families, and fatherhood. Though deeply personal, THE DEATH OF MY TWO FATHERS will resonate on an emotional level with all audiences.
