The Feeling of Being Watched

The predominantly Arab-American population of Bridgeview, IL, can tell you without hesitation numerous examples of their quiet enclave being covertly monitored by the FBI all the way back into the '90s. Director (and Bridgeview native) Assia Boundaoui digs deeply into this history, uncovering thousands of documents that confirm Bridgeview was subject to America's largest pre-9/11 counterterrorism investigation. A quasi-thriller following a crusade to unveil a truth hidden for many years, The Feeling of Being Watched also serves as a cautionary tale of the effects of a lifetime of domestic surveilance.
