Yoav, an Israeli immigrant, has just arrived in Paris and immediately all of his luggage gets stolen. But Yoav still has his French dictionary and his garish yellow peacoat, and he remains determined to completely assimilate into French culture. This unhinged, irreverent immigration tale, which won the top prize in Berlin, is based on the real-life experience of director Nadav Lapid (The Kindergarten Teacher, Policeman), examining how fraught it is to truly start over.
