Sword of Trust

MONDAY, 10/21 SCREENING ON STANDBY - TICKETS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ONLINE FOR PURCHASE!

Crotchety Mel (Marc Maron) is a crooked pawn shop owner in Alabama whose life is disrupted when Cynthia (Jillian Bell) and Mary (Michaela Watkins) arrive with a sword that supposedly proves the South won the Civil War. The group of misfits journey through the deep South to sell the sword, mixing with conspiracy theorists and learning about themselves. Led by a fantastic ensemble cast and from indie director Lynn Shelton, Sword of Trust is a delightfully fast-paced, heartfelt comedy.

"It's equal parts spry, improvisational comedy and salient social commentary."
- Chicago Reader

"A smart, politically barbed comedy about truthiness and consequences."
- Los Angeles Times

"Sword of Trust is a perfect comedy of manners for our post-truth age, when historical consensus has become subject to the same kind of interpretive haggling as the price of a kitschy cream pitcher."
- Washington Post
