Socrates

After his mother’s sudden death, Socrates must learn to survive on the streets of São Paulo. Grappling with his sexuality, this 15-year-old must learn to face the world alone. Nominated for three Film Independent Spirit Awards (including Best Male Lead for Christian Malheiros’ powerful breakout performance), and winner of the Someone to Watch Award, Socrates is one of the most stunning portraits of Brazilian teens since City of God.
