Raise Hell: The Life & Times of Molly Ivins

SATURDAY, 10/19 AND MONDAY, 10/28 SCREENINGS ON STANDBY - TICKETS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ONLINE FOR PURCHASE!

In the 1970s, Texas feminist Molly Ivins broke into the boys club of journalism. Bringing a new perspective to her deep-red state, Ivins made waves in local and national politics, shining a light on injustices and hypocrisies in a witty and searing style, while also forging a new path for women in journalism. This doc follows the firebrand reporter through her sparring with conservatives, presidents, and anyone foolish enough to try to match wits with her.

"Engel gives RAISE HELL such momentum - it's a whoosh of a movie - that you are quickly swept up in its sights and sounds. There's a lot to take in." - New York Times

"This slick, enjoyable documentary pays tribute to the wit and wisdom of the firebrand Texas political commentator." - Variety

"There was never anybody like Molly Ivins before, and never will be again, and this documentary does a fine job of capturing what made her special." - RogerEbert.com
