Down With the King

MKE Film Festival

Freddie Gibbs commands the spotlight with his pivot to acting as Money Merc, a famous rapper disillusioned with the music industry and the pressures of celebrity. He leaves the city and his career behind to recalibrate in a small-town farming community, where he befriends the quirky locals and spends more time figuring out what is really important in life. Director Diego Ongaro pairs thoughtful visuals with sly humor to tell this remarkable big fish in a small pond story. Preceded by WATER Dir. Anthony Doffek
