COVID: The Teen Experience

MKE Film Festival

Six teens from different backgrounds and neighborhoods illustrate the potential for a unified society to overcome the obstacles we face together. Compiling their footage from 2020 and 2021, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift to virtual education, and as movements for political and racial systemic change swept the globe--including Black Lives Matter and the 2021 coup in Myanmar--this collaborative documentary captures the challenges of the past year and a half from the perspective of a younger, proactive, and socially conscious generation.
