And Then They Came for Us

CCF2021

Nearly eighty years ago, Executive Order 9066 paved the way for the forced incarceration of over 120,000 Japanese Amerricans. A riveting historical documentary (with first-hand accounts of George Takei and many others) that draws a direct line from the stain of Japanese internment to Trump's attempted Muslim travel ban, AND THEN THEY CAME FOR US is sobering and heartening in equal measure, as we see the activists working hard to ensure history doesn't repeat itself.
