In the 1980s, a medical student, a physician, and an activist traveled to a remote region of Haiti, and what they accomplished there transformed the way we approach global health to this very day. Tracking their trial-and-error process from those early days (fighting tuberculosis and AIDS epidemics), we follow the trajectory of what became the revolutionary NGO Partners in Health as they applied their community-based and culturally sensitive approach to health care, one that has gone on to save millions of lives across the planet.
