You’ve probably already heard that Milwaukee Film is taking over operations of Milwaukee’s historic Oriental Theatre as of July 1st, improving your moviegoing experience without sacrificing the incredible aesthetic that makes our beloved movie palace one of the world’s finest.
We’re now very excited to announce Milwaukee Film will be re-opening the doors of the Oriental Theatre to the public starting on August 10th. Opening week films will include daily screenings of Spike Lee’s highly anticipated new feature BlacKkKlansman and the acclaimed new documentary McQueen.
When we assume operations on July 1st, the Oriental Theatre will be temporarily closed for renovations, kicking off a multi-phased plan to revitalize the historic cinema. As of the re-opening, Milwaukee Film will have upgraded projection and sound equipment and added a first floor women’s restroom.
Additional programming and events will be announced in the coming weeks!
