Celebrating its 40th anniversary, All the President's Men has never felt more timely. We follow Washington Post journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein (youthful Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman) as they doggedly pursue the true story behind a break-in at the Democratic National Headquarters, an investigation that eventually leads them to the highest levels of government. The film, winner of four Oscars (including Supporting Actor for Jason Robards), features precise direction from Alan Pakula and gorgeous cinematography from the master, Gordon Willis. And what better time to reacquaint ourselves with this marvelous story of persistence in the face of deception than in an election year?
