HAYDEN & HER FAMILY follows the nuanced and intimate adoption journey of the Currys, an Illinois family raising seven biological children plus five Asian orphans with special needs. Exploring themes of alternative parenting, the limits of altruism, the power of family, and the challenges of special needs and transracial/transcultural adoption, this documentary gives voice to families like these whose stories are not often part of public dialogues about adoption.
