Celeste and Jesse Forever @ Landmark Oriental Theatre (Opens Friday, August 24)

Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones not only co-wrote this comedic cautionary tale about not taking relationships for granted (with fellow small-screen star Will McCormack), she also plays “Celeste” to SNL alum Andy Samberg’s “Jesse.” They’re a newly divorced couple who try to remain friends while dating other people, which seems like the kind of good idea that won't at all fall apart and cause awkwardness, right?

Wild & Scenic Film Festival @ Bayshore Town Center Square (Friday, August 24 @ 730pm)
For the third year in a row, our friends at the River Revitalization Foundation (an MFF Community Partner) are hosting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. Screened under the stars in Bayshore Town Center’s outdoor square (note to self: bring something to sit on), this year’s program features 90 minutes of short environmental films, door prizes, and a raffle.
